Bio
From composition to vocal performance, Joi Marchetti is committed to enhancing stories and creating emotion through the power of music. She has composed works for The Park Avenue Armory, The New Ohio Theatre, and The Drama League in New York City. Her film scores include Nicole Kang’s, Lonely Child, making its world premier at the Tide Film Festival in NYC. Her original music was performed as a part of the Up Close Festival, recommended as must-see immersive theatre by The New York Times and TimeOut New York. Her piece, Sestina, for upright bass and electronics was chosen to premier as a part of the SF Contemporary Music Players 'Re:Visitations' concert in San Francisco.
Joi was a singer for Cirque Du Soleil’s Quidam, where her passion for storytelling blossomed. She is a studio vocalist and session contractor for clients like Sony Playstation, Formosa Entertainment, META, and Valve's Portal. She is associated with San Francisco Conservatory of Music's Technology and Applied Composition program where she has received multiple commission and grant opportunities.
